MEET OUR STAFF

Jenna is a down-to-earth, life-giving person to be around. Jenna is in charge of staff & leadership development, manages systems, and oversees pastoral care. She is a gifted communicator and teacher and she also has some amazing dance moves.  She is married to Jason and mother to Caden.

Art started in legal publishing prior to serving executive and board roles with churches, missions, and nonprofits. Art is a critical thinker with a passion for Jesus that is evident in his heart for prayer and his service as an Awaken Kids Community teacher. Art has chosen to take a leave of absence from the Pastoral Advisory Team and accepted the role of Interim Executive Pastor while Jenna is on maternity leave.
He is married to Deanna and father to Katie and Jonathon.

Sara oversees our Kids Community which includes nursery through 5th grade. She comes to Awaken with a wealth of knowledge and experience over the past 20 years in Kids Ministry.  She is married to Chris and mother to Olivia.

Erik oversees the behind the scenes operations and administration at Awaken. He brings 8 years of experience in operations and facility management. He also contributes his creativity to telling Awaken’s stories through social media.

Trevor heads up our efforts for our 6-12 graders at Awaken and our sound and tech on Sunday mornings.  Trevor is the life of the party and the perfect ring leader for our budding student ministry. He's married to Jessie and father to Delilah.

Cathy serves on staff as Awaken’s Community Life Director. In bringing leadership to this position, she sees Awaken as a place where people are seen, heard, and their stories valued. She delights in fostering community and developing leaders. Besides connecting with people, Cathy whole-heartedly enjoys playing pickleball - IYKYK. She is married to partner-in-life Jeff and adores her 3 adult children plus their spouses.

Halle delights in leading us in worship on Sunday mornings. She deeply values creating an authentic and empathetic worship environment and takes great joy in building relationships with other artists, tenderly holding people’s stories, and walking with them on their own spiritual and creative journeys.

Vanessa is a lover and seeker of beauty, who finds it is everywhere (if only we have eyes to see). As a visual artist, Vanessa works primarily in watercolor portraits and nature. She is honored to steward the thriving garden of this artist community, cultivating it with care that it may continue to grow and nourish others as it has nourished her. She is married to Andrew and mother to Lilyana & Noelle

Micah is a teacher, theologian, story-teller and entrepreneur. He brings ideas to life and can often see something before it's realized. He enjoys anything competitive, wood working, fishing and mixing cocktails for his friends. He is married to Laura and father to Hadley, Dahlia and Ace.
